Double glazing windows?
My double glazing window handle has broken, How can i go about fixing it.
The handle is stiff then won’t move vertically up. It seems to freeze/jam. I think the locking mechanism has broken. Other than finding specialist help, what can i do to attempt to fix this problem.
NOTE:
-I have replaced the handle’s several times
-i have used a drill bit to attempt to open the locking mechanism (used a replica square bar in the space and rotated but it froze/jammed up like before with handle)
-Used WD40, lubricant to try ease the handle when opening.

I don’t think the problem is with the Handel, it’s more than likely the cames that secure the window sash to the frame.
If your able to open the window you will fined the cames on the bottom under side of the open sash ( top opening window ). Or down each side of the open sash ( side opening window ). The principle of the mechanism is that when you move the Handel up & down, or side to side depending on the opener, the cames slot in to the came receivers, that are located on the window frame and secure the window. Unfortunately, over time due to lack of maintenance, the cames become stuck with grime & corrosion, you need to spray the cames with WD40 and work the handle up & down to free the cames. and while your at it spray the hing mechanism as well
